MGB Roadster (KBA950P) 1975

MGB Roadster rebuilt on a new heritage shell approx 10 years ago.

The car was the subject of a full and almost unrestrained rebuild.

The original rubber bumper shell was substituted for a new ‘Heritage Shell’ and rebuilt as a chrome bumper model.

The engine was rebuilt. The gearbox, overdrive and axle were tested and found in good mechanical order and had any minor faults rectified.

The suspension and steering were renewed or rebuilt with new parts as required and an uprated antirroll bar, front springs and telescopic rear dampers fitted.

The wheels were replaced with chrome wires, the tyres being almost new.

A new wiring harness and relevant controls were changed to suit the earlier model type, all components were either new or in first class condition.

The interior was upgraded to include full walnut features, beautiful magnolia leather seats and quality biscuit carpet.

This is a small précis of the restoration, many more new parts were fitted including bumpers other chrome work, braking components etc etc

A full list of component parts is within the history file.

The coachwork is still stunning in Pale Blue as is the interior. The engine compartment nicely detailed and is testament to the quality of the rebuild which would cost thousands today.
